Chocolate factory tour

I’m a big fan of factory tours, I just love seeing a behind the scenes look of how things are made. So I was happy when a friend told me that the Taza Chocolate factory, located in Somerville, MA, opens up for tours!  We spent our Saturday morning learning about how this stone ground chocolate is made, and sampled just about every possible kind.

Another trip to Whole Foods, another unidentifiable item for sale!  Any guesses on what this one is?

One weekend morning…

All the streets were empty and snow-covered, which made for a nice little walk to a local diner for breakfast. I’m sure I’ll grow tired of the snow, but the first couple of snow falls are just so much fun!

The local lion

One of my favorite neighborhood features is this amazing stone lion. I walk by it everyday on my way to the subway, and loved how it looked all covered in snow.

With cold temperatures like we’ve been having, it’s time to get creative about things you can do indoors! The Boston Auto Show was this past weekend, which perfectly fit the bill. It was funny to notice that the large, SUV-type cars were pretty hidden in the back corners…
