This 8 foot tall bronze baby head sculpture always makes me smile. Permanently located outside the back entrance of Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, this work by Spanish artist Antonio Lopez Garcia weighs 1.6 tons. Now that’s a big baby.

Designer building

MIT’s Stata Center, designed by Frank Gehry in 2004, is both loved and hated. Given MIT’s lawsuit against Frank Gehry and the construction companies that completed the building due to all sorts of water issues, I’d guess they are on the hate end of the spectrum. I wasn’t crazy about the building either, but it looked just right in the sun the other day, so I might be changing my mind…

I’ve probably walked by this bush so many times without ever noticing that it is actually a Lily-of-the-Valley. The delicate details of the flowers looked so pretty in the sunshine on this bright morning.

With Daylight Savings ending this past weekend, we’re getting a little more sunshine in the morning. Not sure I how happy I am about how quickly it gets dark at night now, but I do love seeing the sun shine on my way to the subway each morning.
