You know by now my love of airplane pictures, and this one is no exception. Here’s my first view of Oaxaca, Mexico, nestled within the mountains in southwestern Mexico.

Happy Friday!

Oaxaca, July 2006

bees!  Yes, that’s right, bees.  I was at a spring training baseball game in Arizona and a large swarm of bees delayed the game for a good 40 minutes.  The best part was the sign, announcing the delay to the stadium.

River City, too

April 20, 2012

Marina City

April 19, 2012

This 1964 building complex in Chicago was the tallest residential building in the world when it was completed!  A lot has changed since then, but I still think they look modern in a city known for it’s architecture.

Ballons above Scottsdale

March 29, 2012

In a landscape of mostly brown with some green, these bright hot air balloons were an unexpected jolt of color.  Gotta love the cactus image, too.

Arizona, March 2012

Not the most unique neon, but I still got excited when I spotted it!  Although it may have had more to do with the In-N-Out burger and fries I was about to consume…

Chicago streetscape

March 15, 2012

People that live in the city of Chicago probably walk by this ally every day without even noticing it, but it stood out to me with all that repetition.

Chicago, November 2011

There are so many types of cactus out in the desert, it’s hard to pick a favorite!  But I spotted this cactus and immediately thought of a far away structure I’ve blogged about previously… anyone else think it looks familiar?  (here’s a little hint)

Happy Friday!

Arizona, March 2012

I’m not sure what kind of tree this is – perhaps a weeping willow variety? – but it looks a little magical to me.
